"Sliding Scale"

Here at Premier Adoption Agency we understand that the costs of adoption are prohibitive for many families. This is why our domestic adoption program fees are based on the individual client's income. To help make adoption a more realistic possibility, we require only $5,000 of the total agency fee up front to retain our services and get your adoption process started as quickly as possible.

The Agency's total fee is $12,500 to $20,500* (depending on income) for one child and $600 for each additional child adopted at the same time from the same location. The Agency fee is split into two parts for the convenience of the adopting family. $5,000 is to be paid at the time of signing the Statement of Understanding. The remaining $7,500 - $15,500 (depending on income) is paid two weeks prior to the birthmother's due date in the form of secured funds (wire transfer or cashier's check). This money will be held in escrow until the birthmother has signed relinquishment documents and the Placement Agreement. If the birthmother does not sign relinquishment documents the final payment is returned to you minus any birthmother expenses which were not paid. Please note again that all agency fees are transferable but not refundable (excluding birthmother expenses).

*D.O.I. - Depending on Income?- This sliding scale was developed based upon income not the ethnicity of the child. The base agency fee of $12,500 for a domestic adoption is available to those who make $39,999.99 or less annually. For clients whose income exceeds $39,999.99 annually, $1,000 will be added to the agency fee for every additional $10,000 of income not to exceed $20,500.

• $39,999.99 or less = $12,500
• $40,000-$49,999.99 = $13,500
• $50,000-$59,999.99 = $14,500
• $60,000-$69,999.99 = $15,500
• $70,000-$79,999.99 = $16,500
• $80,000-$89,999.99 = $17,500
• $90,000-$99,000.99 = $18,500
• $100,000-$109,999.99 = $19,500
• $110K-And up = $20,500

**All other fees incurred during the adoption process are the client's responsibility. These fees include but are not limited to legal expenses, travel, reasonable birthmother expenses, other agency fees, facilitation fees, adoption attorney fees, etc.***

**This rule is designed to help families afford adoption. Your debt to income ratio or financial net worth may present additional factors as to your ability to afford adoption. We do reserve the right to adjust your fee schedule. These adjustments can be petitioned in cases of hardship or may be required in cases of low income and very high financial worth. Since our commitment is to help families afford adoption, more families are able to adopt because of our sliding scale. In addition to the fee schedule's sliding scale, those families who would like to do so may make donations to assist deserving families.
