We understand that it is difficult to find an adoption agency that you feel is right for you. On this journey we suggest you make yourself an expert on adoption. Here are a few points you may want to consider.

This is a very important part of any adoption. Among the many advertisements you may have encountered, there are actually three different types of people that you can work with.

First there are licensed adoption agencies. We are state-licensed and regulated to provide the best possible services for our clients. We are required to have licensed social workers providing direct care, counseling, and adoption procedures. As a result, we can handle absolutely every aspect of your adoption process, from emergency relocation to post-placement grief and loss counseling and assistance.

Second, you may find adoption attorneys. Typically they do not provide social work support and will team up with a licensed adoption agency that they have hired. If you are not careful you may get lost between the cracks working with someone who can't offer all of the services you need.

The third option is an adoption facilitator. This type of business is an unregulated commercial entity. They are not required to have any formal adoption-related education or experience, nor do they have any set guidelines or rules as to the quality or type of service they should offer. They are basically consultants, who only have to answer to a financial bottom line.

If you are in crisis or need immediate assistance, it really helps to have someone close to you. Here at Premier Adoption Agency we typically do not advertise services to women outside of our local area. This is important to us because we care about you. Our experience after hundreds of adoptions is that most birthparents are not yet experts on adoption. That's why we're here. Our caring, local staff will walk you through this difficult process, giving you insight from years of experience.

This is one of the hardest questions you will ask yourself. So much is riding on this decision. Is the family going to really love and take care of my baby? Do these "Adoption Professionals" really know what they are doing? Do they know what I need, when I may not? Do they have love, courage, commitment, and follow through?

Adoption is not easy, but we are here to walk you through the process so you can feel good about your adoption plan. Our therapists are tops! You will plan how you want the adoption to work. You choose the family, amount of contact, and how the hospital experience will go. After the adoption you can set up a schedule for letters and pictures on your baby's development and well-being. We also offer assistance with continuing education, professional placement, and helping you get stable and secure.
